Very few of these moves happen because somebody woke up wanting a smaller house. There has usually been a fall, a diagnosis, or a husband or wife who is no longer there. The move is the practical end of something much bigger.
It is also usually being organised by a son or daughter who is working full time, ringing villages on their lunch break and driving over after work. They are the one who has to find the truck, and are the ones being asked whether the good furniture is coming.
Lifting furniture is the easy part of our day. Deciding what comes is the part that takes time, and we do not rush it. If it takes three visits over a fortnight rather than one long morning, that is how we do it.

Villages and aged care facilities have loading dock access, booked lift times and move in windows that are often only a couple of hours long. Miss the window and the move is pushed to another day, with your mother sitting in an empty unit waiting on her bed.
We book the dock, confirm the lift, and turn up inside the window with the right sized truck for the driveway. We have done this in most of the villages around Toowoomba, so we ask the right questions before the day rather than on it.

Some families do it in one morning. Others do a room a week. Both are normal and both are priced honestly.

Bigger items positioned where desired. Any rubbish can be removed upon request.

Drop offs are included in the run. Tip fees are charged at cost and itemised.

Regularly. However, we recommend the family makes the call regarding move in date and room allocation.
